AKRON, OH – Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will raise prices on its consumer and commercial tires up to 10 percent, effective Sept. 1, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine. The hike will apply to all of the company's brands. In addition, Goodyear will raise its OTR tire prices up to seven percent on the same day.

A Goodyear spokesman said that the actions are necessary due to escalating raw material, energy, and transportation costs.
