GE Fleet Services Withdraws from AALA

ALEXANDRIA, VA – GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services has decided not to renew its membership in the American Automotive Leasing Association (AALA).

"Like every well-managed company operating in a tough economic environment, we are looking for ways to better manage our costs without impacting our customers. We evaluated our membership in AALA against GE's ability to support our legislative efforts through its government relations team and elected not to renew our 2009 AALA membership," said Bob Mitchell, president and CEO of GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services.

AALA is a national industry association composed of commercial automotive fleet leasing and management companies.

"The decision of GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services will not affect AALA's ongoing commitment to provide top level service and representation to the commercial automotive fleet leasing industry.  We respect the personal business decisions each of our companies make, and realize that the current economic atmosphere presents difficult choices and decisions for everyone," said Pamela Sederholm, AALA executive director.
