CHARLOTTE, NC – BNSF Railway presented NASCENT Technology, LLC. with the company's "Intermodal Service Partner of the Year 2007 — Best in New Technology" award at the Intermodal Association of North America conference in Oak Brook, Ill., earlier this month, according to www.businesswire.com.

"I'm honored to receive this award on behalf of the team of dedicated individuals at NASCENT," said Fabio Teti, NASCENT president. "We're extremely grateful that BNSF embraces the technical solutions we offer and recognized our company with this award."

NASCENT deployed their SYNAPSE AGS solution at two of BNSF's key Chicago terminals in 2007. The system, which combines damage inspection portals, optical character recognition (OCR), digital cameras, biometric fingerprint readers, and voice-over-IP-enabled communication kiosks, was deployed at both facilities in record time and handled more-than-expected volumes almost immediately.
