ANSI Z15 as a Self Audit Tool
ANSI Z15 provides fleets of any type (ie. sales, delivery, shuttles, etc.) and in any industry (ie. manufacturing, construction, office operations, etc.) with a clear road map of key best practices. The outline format manages to let each organization tailor "how" they implement these practices to suit their particular needs, and it provides a fantastic self audit tool.
If you are not familiar with ANSI Z15, you ought to get a copy. It is organized into five key areas: written policies; operational environment; driver management; vehicle management; and post incident management/measurment.
If you're looking to formalize your current program or just make sure that you don't have gaps in the program or how it is documented, ANZI Z15 is an ideal standard to help you out.
