Volvo XC70 Voted Car of the Year in Russia

GÖTEBORG, SWEDEN – The Volvo XC70 has been voted Car of the Year in Russia. For the second time in three years, Volvo Car’s image-booster has taken first prize in the “Estate Car with Off-Road Capability” category.

Volvo Cars Introduces Special Edition to Celebrate the Volvo Ocean Race

GÖTEBORG, SWEDEN – Volvo Cars is starting the countdown to the Volvo Ocean Race by launching a series of specially designed cars. The new Volvo Ocean Race Edition encompasses three models: the Volvo V70, Volvo XC70, and Volvo XC90.

Fuel Continues to be the No. 1 Threat to Fleet

The number one threat to fleets continues to be the price of fuel, despite the fact that fuel prices have been declining due to the global economic slowdown. Year-to-date, the cost of fuel has increased 30 percent in 2008 compared to 2007. The Energy Information Administration is projecting fuel to average $3.82 per gallon in calendar-year 2009.
