Emkay Partners With Networkcar to Launch New Networkfleet Telematics Solution

ITASCA, IL – Emkay, Inc., a nationwide full-service fleet leasing and management company, announced their new partnership with Networkcar, a wireless fleet management provider. Networkcar's Networkfleet service combines GPS location data with engine diagnostic monitoring. Under the partnership, Emkay's fleet lease and management customers will receive accurate, real-time odometer capture, idle time statistics, real-time customized alerts, and maintenance management data.

The partnership with Networkcar provides another level of enhanced fleet services to the current value-added benefits within the Emkay service portfolio. With the information provided by Networkfleet, fleet managers will be able to review and analyze a multitude of vehicle diagnostics to improve operating efficiency and drive down the costs associated with running a fleet, the most critical of these being fuel cost. Fuel Continues to be the No. 1 Threat to Fleet

The number one threat to fleets continues to be the price of fuel, despite the fact that fuel prices have been declining due to the global economic slowdown. Year-to-date, the cost of fuel has increased 30 percent in 2008 compared to 2007. The Energy Information Administration is projecting fuel to average $3.82 per gallon in calendar-year 2009.
