Wheels, Inc. Adds New Alerts to FleetView Online System

ARTICLE TOOLS        | E-MailPrint

DES PLAINES, IL – Wheels, Inc. has released new alerts in the Dashboard component of its FleetView online fleet management tool. Located in the Intelligence section of FleetView, alerts are customized exception notifications based on user preferences. When viewing the exception items, users can drill into the detail, allowing for optimal levels of information.

The enhanced application includes expanded fuel management alerts, which were designed specifically to help clients monitor their fuel spend as well as take action on exceptions. The expanded program complements previously released fuel alerts. In addition, the new alerts support those clients on Wheels EcoWheels environmental fleet program who need to track their vehicles' performance relative to their program objectives.

The new alerts package also includes an expansion to the Wheels Paperless Office through providing a more eco-friendly way for clients to receive vehicle delivery notifications and documentation.

There is a 60-day comment period about the SEC proposal. Fleet leasing will be impacted by the adoption of IAS. It is probable that all fleet leases in the U.S. will need to be capitalized sometime in the 2011-2016 timeframe.
