Networkcar Appoints New Vice President of Finance

SAN DIEGO– Joshua Haims has joined Networkcar as vice president of finance. In this role, Haims will drive all financial activities for the organization, shape the long-term strategy of Networkcar, and further develop day-to-day tactics.

Haims brings leadership experience in diverse corporate settings, ranging from start-ups, such as Global Centric Networks and Slopecycle, to established companies like IBM, Bloomingdales, and KPMG Peat Marwick. He has a track record of successfully managing SOX implementation and compliance, SEC reporting, capital acquisitions, capital management, financial planning and analysis, product development, strategic business development, as well as system design and implementation.

Used-Vehicle Market Nosedives in October: More Downward Movement Anticipated

October was an extremely difficult month to remarket vehicles in the wholesale market as resale prices took a precipitous drop. Wholesale pricing, based on mixed mileage and seasonally adjusted, declined a record 6 percent in October. The lack of credit to both dealers and retail buyers has been the key catalyst contributing to the downturn in the wholesale market. The market forecast is gloomy until the credit gridlock is resolved.
