Fleet Manager Releases New Book on Fleet Maintenance

ROSELAND, NJJohn Dolce, a New Jersey-based fleet manager, has released a new book edition reviewing the latest technologies and best practices used in fleet maintenance management.

The 534-page book, Analytical Fleet Maintenance Management: Third Edition, describes practical, cost-effective principles that fleet management personnel can use in daily work operations to improve efficiencies, control costs, and increase productivity. This edition features new chapters on fleet management leadership, and fleet facility design and maintenance. In addition, the book's arithmetic formulas have been reviewed and updated.

Dolce is a fleet manager, consultant, author, and industrial instructor with more than 40 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and operations. He has managed public and private fleets ranging from 100 to 18,000 vehicles and has helped thousands of managers and companies implement cost efficiencies. Dolce also teaches courses and seminars on fleet management at the City University and State University of New York, George Washington University, the University of Washington at Seattle, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Morgan Stanley & Goldman Sachs Forecast $100-per-Barrel Oil in 2011

Goldman Sachs was the first to forecast a $100-plus-per-barrel crude oil price when the bank issued a research report last November, which called for a $110-per-barrel average price for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude in 2011. Morgan Stanley released a similar report in January and targets $95-per-barrel of WTI futures by December 2010, with an average price of $100 per barrel in 2011.
