WEX Inc. of South Portland, Maine, has introduced its next-generation platform as ClearView Advanced, which adds features that help fleet managers better identify drivers who purchase expensive gasoline and send them messages.

WEX introduced ClearView Advanced at the NAFA Institute & Expo on April 25.

ClearView Advanced is the next iteration of ClearView Essentials and adds additional algorithms to provider greater intelligence and data to save fleets time and money, according to WEX.

ClearView Advanced will identify drivers who purchase expensive gasoline, violate company policies, commit theft, or make poor fueling decisions. Fleet managers can use the platform to send messages to those drivers to encourage them to change their behavior and come back into compliance with company policies. The platform allows tracking of the behavior of the messaged drivers and follow up to those who have not changed.

"ClearView Advanced turns insights into action," said Kurt Thearling, vice president of analytics at WEX. "It allows fleets to prompt drivers to take action — such as stopping the use of premium fuel, refilling at a less expensive stations, or taking care when entering odometer readings. Our goal is to help fleet managers leverage data, resulting in cost-effective and efficient operations."
