ISSAQUAH, WACinterion Wireless Modules, supplier of GSM wireless modules worldwide, announced that Networkcar will integrate the new Cinterion TC63i wireless module into its award-winning Networkfleet wireless fleet management solution. Networkfleet combines patented remote diagnostic systems with GPS-based Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology and enables real-time data communication over GSM (global system for mobile communication) networks. The new Cinterion module will be integrated into the Networkfleet device starting in Q4 of this year.

Cinterion's TC63i module offers GPRS Class 12 data transmission and worldwide roaming with four GSM frequency bands allowing anytime, anywhere machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. Key feature enhancements include industrial interfaces, multiplex driver for Windows Vista/XP, extended operating temperature range for use in extreme environments and jamming detection.

Enabled by the Cinterion GSM module, Networkfleet transmits GPS location and engine diagnostic information wirelessly from vehicles to a network operation center. Fleet managers can log on to a dedicated Web site anytime to view specific vehicle data such as current location, fuel consumption, mileage, speed, emissions, and idle-time through a secure, easy-to-use web application. In addition, customers using Networkfleet receive instant e-mail notifications when a vehicle goes beyond pre-set limits.

"With the integration of Cinterion's new TC63i module, our customers gain increased performance and backwards compatibility with existing Networkfleet devices, for a seamless upgrade," said Keith Schneider, president of Networkcar.
