ROCKLEIGH, NJ – Volvo Cars and Ericsson are partnering to provide connected vehicle services in Volvo vehicles. The partnership will apply to a Connected Vehicle Cloud based on Ericsson's Multiservice Delivery Platform, which is designed to provide infotainment, apps, and communications services.

Volvo stated that drivers will be able to download application and interact with partners through the connected vehicle cloud built on Ericsson's “service enablement platform.”

According to Volvo, the agreement covers Volvo Cars’ vehicles sold across the globe and will be operated as a “managed service” by Ericsson.
