GAINESVILLE, GABad weather across the country did not seem to affect auctions this past week, according to Black Book's Managing Editor Ricky Beggs, who reported overall good auction activity and attendance in his latest "Beggs on the Market" recap of current auction conditions.

For the fourth straight week, Beggs said truck segments continued to show positive improvement. "This week, of the 14 segments, the average adjustment was up $55 per segment," he reported. However, four segments within the truck market (full-size crossovers, mid-size SUVs, full-size cargo vans, and compact pickups) went down over the week.

On the up side, "the greatest drop for any of these segments was only $69 for the week. And for seven straight weeks, full-size pickups and full-size SUVs have gone up in value. That's good news," Beggs said.

The 10 segments that report on the car side are "still easing downward," but the average adjustment per segment was only $64.
