Wheels, Inc., has won a Silver American Business award for Best Interface Design for its DriverView online portal for fleet drivers, which the company redesigned last year to better optimize its online platforms.

"Wheels is always looking to align our online tools with the emerging preferences of today's web users," said Gail Wheeler, Wheels' assistant vice president of marketing. "The DriverView site revamp was very successful in delivering new levels of consolidated access, responsive designs and user-friendly features for our clients' drivers."

Wheeler said that the new DriverView site features an interface that is automatically optimized for desktop, tablet and mobile devices. The site also features improved navigation capabilities, multilingual display options and a redesigned homepage. The new designs provide intuitive ways for drivers to view information, execute transactions and keep track of actionable events to ensure the safe and efficient use of their vehicles.

The American Business Awards (also known as The Stevies) are the world's premier business awards, featuring entrants in all types of businesses across the country.

"We are extremely impressed with the quality of the entries we received this year. The competition was intense and every organization that won should be proud," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the American Business Awards. "To those outstanding individuals and organizations that received Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie awards, the judges and I are honored to celebrate your many accomplishments. You are setting a high standard for professionals nationwide."

The American Business Awards organization said it received more than 3,300 nominations from organizations in virtually every industry this year, with winners being selected by a panel of more than 200 business executives worldwide.

The Best Interface Design award was among those issued during a ceremony on June 22 in Chicago. A second Stevie awards gala will take place Sept. 11 in San Francisco. Wheels' toll management program is a finalist in the Transportation category, which will be recognized during that event.
