GM Logo Dropped Starting 2010-MY

August 25, 2009

DETROIT - Emphasizing the new GM's four core brands (Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC), General Motors Co. will no longer include the silver "GM" corporate logo on its vehicles, a GM spokesman confirmed.

The move, which takes effect starting with the 2010 model-year, was made earlier this month by the company's newly formed nine-member executive committee, headed by president and CEO Fritz Henderson.
