Lexus has introduced two performance models of its 2015 LS full-size luxury sedan, as well as revamping the infotainment system of the vehicle.

The 2015 model year’s biggest update is the upgraded infotainment system. The navigation system can help the driver reach his or her destination with up to date and predictive traffic information including a detour preview option. Another feature points out nearby fueling stations once the car hits a low level of gas. For smartphone users, Lexus updated the LS to feature more Enform App Suite functions, including control of the door locks, the ignition and the climate control within the app.

Lexus is offering two models from the LS series. The LS 460 comes in a regular and long-wheelbase version, each with the further choice of rear-wheel drive or all-weather drive. The model is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine which reaches up to 386 horsepower and has an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The LS 600h L hybrid features 5-liter V8 engine along with electric motor, when combined can provide up to 438 horsepower.

A new safety feature for passengers is the Advanced Pre-Collision System with Collision Avoidance Assist in its drivers-assist technology which is capably of automatically bringing the LS to a full stop to prevent crashes.

The 2015 Lexus LS Series will arrive at dealerships in November.
