The Lincoln Continental nameplate returns for the 2017 model year to offer "quiet luxury" in a full-size luxury package in the executive vehicle market.

When it arrives in the fall, the Continental will give Ford's luxury division a vehicle to compete with Cadillac's 2016 CT6 full-size sedan that arrives in March.

The 2017 Continental is powered by a 3.0L V-6 engine with twin turbochargers that produces about 400 hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. The rear-wheel-drive sedan is available with an all-wheel-drive system that's paired with Dynamic Torque Vectoring that delivers torque to the wheel that needs it most during cornering.

Safety and driver assistance systems include Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system.
