Novo Nordisk's Fleet Manager Departs

Donna Bibbo has left her position as manager of fleet and travel with Novo Nordisk, Inc., in Plainsboro, N.J., after eight years with the global pharmaceutical company.

Bibbo, who is a CAFM and CCTE, left in April. She had managed 4,400 vehicles in the U.S. and Canada. Bibbo had joined Novo Nordisk in 2006.

Bibbo was a finalist for Automotive Fleet's 2013 Professional Fleet Manager of the Year award. She has served on many client advisory boards, such as the NAFA Corporate Fleet Advisory Council, AFLA Commercial Fleet Manager Sounding Board, Wheels Client Steering Council, Fleet Response Advisory Board, and World Travel, Inc.

In 2010, Automotive Fleet recognized Bibbo with its Environmental Leadership award, after she reduced CO2 emissions by 3 percent per mile. In addition, Bibbo reduced maintenance costs by 2 percent, depreciation costs by 11 percent, and preventable accidents per million miles by 3 percent over 2011.

Another notable accomplishment by Bibbo was her management of a field force expansion of 465 new drivers (18 percent increase), as well as negotiating a new leasing contract that saved Novo Nordisk more than $500,000 per year.

Earlier, Bibbo was the purchasing, fleet and travel manager for Pharmacia Biotech. Pharmacia Biotech was acquired by Amersham in 2000, which was then acquired by GE Healthcare in 2004. While under GE Healthcare ownership, Bibbo was an indirect sourcing leader.
