After a corporate-wide business unit reorganization, the position held by long-time fleet manager, Sue Miller, CAFM, director of fleet management service for McDonald's Corp., was eliminated. Miller, who managed approximately 2,900-plus vehicles in the U.S., joined McDonald's in 1986.

Miller began her industry career in 1978 at ServiceMaster Industries. She then moved to A.B. Dick Company, where she implemented a new fleet program from the ground up, before serving as fleet manager for Keebler Corp., and joining McDonald’s Corp.

At McDonald’s, Miller led the management and strategic direction for company-provided vehicles across the McDonald’s system, including cars, trucks, vans, maintenance/catering, and specialty vehicles. She developed and implemented operating and financial policies in alignment with corporate/strategic objectives, and developed and maintained vendor relationships for products and program services.

Miller has participated on client advisory boards for GELCO, LeasePlan, and Ford Motor Company. She also served as vice president and president of the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) from 1996 to 1998.

In addition, Miller was named Automotive Fleet's Professional Fleet Manager of the Year in 1998 and inducted into the Fleet Hall of Fame in 2012. She was also the recipient of the McDonald's President's award, which recognizes the outstanding achievements of the top 1 percent of global staff employees.

Miller is currently seeking future employment opportunities in the fleet industry and can be reached via e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at (630) 476-0533.
