The 2018 Lexus NX will arrive with more standard safety equipment, reconfigured trim grades, and sportier styling in a mid-cycle refresh of the compact luxury SUV, Lexus has announced.

The NX, which was introduced in 2014, will add the Lexus Safety System+ as standard equipment, which includes a pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, and auto high beams.

For 2018, the vehicle will be offered as the NX 300, which replaces the NX 200t, and NX 300h gasoline-electric hybrid. The NX 300 will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four. The NX 300h pairs a 2.5-liter inline-four with a pair of electric motors. Lexus will continue to offer the NX F Sport model.

Lexus showed the model on April 19 at the Shanghai Auto Show.
