The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray provides 29 mpg on the highway with its new eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, the EPA has determined.

Performance doesn't seem to have been affected, as the sports car will reach 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, which is a fraction of a second faster that the prior model equipped with a six-speed transmission. The vehicle is powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 engine.

The vehicle's highway fuel economy rating represents a 3.5-percent improvement over the 2014 model, according to GM. When operating the vehicle with paddle shifters, the Corvette gets 17 mpg in the city and 21 mpg combined, according to FuelEconomy.gov.
