Buick has introduced new entry-level luxury Regal and Verano models for 2015, following the introduction of a new entry LaCrosse trim earlier this year, according to a Buick spokesman.

Buick has begun offering the 1SV models of the Regal mid-size sedan and Verano compact car. Buick introduced the LaCrosse 1SV in January, said Nick Richard, Buick's communications manager.

"These new trim levels offer an opportunity to increase awareness and consideration of Buick vehicles," Richard said.

The 1SV entry trim significantly reduces the vehicles' prices The Verano will now start at $21,990, which is $2,315 less than the Verano 1SD. The 1SV Verano deletes the 7-inch Intellilink touch screen, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and backup camera.

The Regal 1SV retails for $27,990 for a $2,925 savings from the Regal Turbo. The Regal 1SV gets a non-turbo 2.4L four-cylinder.

The LaCrosse 1SV costs $2,570 less than the LaCross 1SB and comes with much of the same standard equipment and includes a V-6 generating 304 hp. Buick offers the 1SB with a 2.4L four-cylinder engine.
