Fleet Response has announced Sandy McClure as the organization’s new safety program director where he will oversee the creation and implementation of new training programs along with managing the delivery contractor program and the final mile delivery offering.
As safety director, McClure will lead and develop Fleet Response’s safety program management culture, according to Fleet Response. Joining Fleet Response in 2019, McClure served in the capacity of safety coordinator.
Throughout his career, he has held titles such as safety specialist, contractor relations specialist, operations manager, recruiter and driver trainer, Fleet Response said.
“Sandy’s level of expertise, with over 47 years in the transportation industry, positively influences everything he does at Fleet Response. By pulling from his experience at FedEx and UPS, Sandy understands the complexity and coordination necessary for success,” said Jeff Fender, Vice President Sales and Marketing.
McClure is also a certified smith system driver safety instructor and a certified OSHA/Hazard material instructor.
