Mike Albert Fleet Solutions has joined 99 local companies being named a Live United 100 company by the United Way of Greater Cincinnati. This recognition is given to local companies with the highest per capita giving with 10 to 500 employees.

“I am grateful for our success and I feel it is important to take time to give back to and improve the community in which we work,” Mike Albert President Marty Betagole said. “I read a statistic that said one in ten families in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area live in poverty. That number shocked me. How can we stand by and not try to do something about that?”

And do something, they did. Through the company’s 2012 community service program, over 70 area Mike Albert employees were able to volunteer over 250 hours in a number of organizations like Ronald McDonald House, Cincinnati Area Senior Services, Redwood and the Freestore Foodbank. Some also chose to make financial and gift donations through various company fundraisers and events all planned and organized by the employees, themselves.

In addition, the company set a goal to raise over $50,000 to support the United Way, which they met and exceeded all in a team effort to support a positive change within the community.

“It is amazing,” says Betagole, “to see Mike Albert teammates come together to improve lives in our community by advancing the common good.”
