The Mombasa county government will today unveil a fleet of state-of-the-art police vehicles meant to boost security in the county, according to a report in Kenya's The Star.

The Toyota police patrol cars have been outfitted with security cameras, recording details of vehicles being pursued, according to the report.The vehicles are being assembled at the Automarine Garage near City Mall along the Mombasa-Malindi highway.

At least 14 of the high-tech polic patrol vehicles have been cleared to enter the country. The fleet will eventually include 48 of the state-of-the-art vehicles. The vehicles will be distributed to all the six constituencies in the county, including Mvita, Kisauni, Nyali, Likoni, Changamwe and Jomvu.
