Buick's new luxury sedan that's now known as Avenir will feature a LED lighting system using the signature Buick headlamp and tail-lamp shape. Both the headlamps and taillamps incorporate diffused light elements, which form “wings” that stretch across the top of the lamp assembly replicating the fender forms, according to the automaker.

LEDs also allow designers to have more control over how light actually behaves within the lamp assemblies. When the turn signals are turned on Avenir, an LED in the headlamps and taillamps illuminates sequentially.

The Avenir offers a direct-injected V-6 engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Some of the other vehicle highlights include driver-selectable suspension damping, a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system, and next-generation Buick IntelliLink infotainment with 12-inch-diagonal color touch screen.
