BMW will offer its 2016 X5 plug-in hybrid for $63,095 when the vehicle arrives in dealer showrooms in the fall, the automaker has announced.

The X5 xDrive40e is the second on the X5 pricing heirarcy behind the X5 xDrive50i, which will retail for $71,695. BMW is also continue to offer the diesel variant, the X5 xDrive35d.

BMW is starting production of the vehicle in August, and has also released preliminary fuel economy estimates.The X5 PHEV will offer up to 13 miles in all-electric mode with a preliminary fuel economy of 55 MPGe. Its gasoline engine and electric motor puts out 308 horsepower and produces 332 lb.-ft., enough to propel the X5 xDrive40e from 0-60mph in just 6.5 seconds.
