Fleet vehicle logistics provider AmeriFleet has promoted Bridget Wilson to vice president of finance from her role of corporate controller, the company announced.

Wilson will oversee the day-to-day operations of all financial aspects of the company. She will report directly to Rich Dennis, AmeriFleet's CFO and board member. Dennis said the company was "lucky to have such an experienced veteran" during what has become a period of significant growth.

Wilson brings over 15 years of experience to her new position, including a stint as a business analyst at Arthur Anderson. She followed that up with almost a decade as a key financial executive for Conn.-based United Technologies, which provides a broad range of high-technology products and support services to customers in the aerospace and building industries.

"We're really excited to have someone of Bridget's caliber step in to provide the kind of leadership that can help us reach new heights," Dennis said. "She's already done some amazing things for the company and we're proud to have her."

Wilson said she's looking forward to the new challenge, and that she's especially encouraged by the "atmosphere of cooperation" she sees among her colleagues.
