Porsche will introduce the Macan GTS for the 2017 model year as a higher performance luxury compact SUV that becomes the third Macan, which is now the automaker's top seller in the U.S.

The Macan GTS will offer more power, a reengineered suspension, unique GTS-specific exterior and interior appointments, and new connectivity options, Porsche has announced. It will go on sale in March with a base price of $67,200, excluding a destination charge.

The all-wheel-drive GTS is powered by the 3.0L twin-turbocharged V-6 found in the Macan S that's been calibrated to produce 360 hp at 6,000 rpm and 369 lb.-ft. of torque between 1,650 and 4,000 rpm.

The Macan also includes air suspension, black exterior accents, standard 20-inch satin black wheels, a leather interior package, and Apple CarPlay.
