Merchants Fleet Management has been certified as a great workplace by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work. Merchants earned this credential based on extensive ratings provided by its employees in anonymous surveys, the fleet management company announced.

The survey presented to employees contained questions ranging from overall satisfaction of their work environment, benefit reviews, management, community relations and other factors. The highest-ranked responses included Merchants providing great challenges to their employees at 97% and a 96% satisfaction level for Merchants' level of contribution to the community, according to the company.

"One survey result rises above the others: 90% of responded employees felt that people care about each other here," said Merchants Fleet Management CEO Glen Villano. "Our genuine care for one another here at Merchants is what drives us to provide programing and benefits that truly make a difference for our employees."

Merchants offers employee education and training programs through Merchants University, full education reimbursement programs, on- and off-site training opportunities, and a scholarship program. These efforts resulted in 90% of Merchants' employees agreeing that they were offered training or development to further themselves in their career.

"We applaud Merchants Fleet Management for seeking certification and releasing its employees' feedback," said Kim Peters, vice president of Great Place to Work's recognition program. "These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees' trust and create a great workplace — critical metrics that anyone considering working for or doing business with Merchants Fleet Management should take into account as an indicator of high performance."
