Four experts in automotive fleet safety addressed some of the latest developments and trends in fleet safety, including telematics, predictive analytics, negligent entrustment, distracted driving and onboard crash prevention technology, at a free seminar conducted by the CEI Group, Inc. at the Renaissance Schaumburg Conference Center Hotel today.

Hosted by Sean O’Malley, CEI’s Midwest regional sales manager, the seminar featured the following topics and speakers:

  • New Tools for Identifying High-Risk Drivers: Telematics and Predictive Analytics by Brian Kinniry, CEI's senior director of strategic services
  • The Fleet Sleeper Issue: Negligent Entrustment and Retention by Judge Brian MacKenzie (retired), co-founder of the Justice Speakers Institute
  • Making the Case for Attentive Driving by Kelly Nantel, vice president for communications and advocacy of the National Safety Council
  • Crash Avoidance Technology: Assessing the Building Blocks for Tomorrow’s Driverless Vehicles by Jessica Cicchino, vice president of research of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety

"With highway fatalities rising at the fastest rate in 50 years, it’s more important than ever that fleets take full advantage of all of the latest advances in automotive safety, and understand how to protect themselves against liability," said O’Malley.

Attendees included fleet, human resources and risk managers from across the Midwest region.
