Volkswagen has named Cesni Ennis as its fleet account manager for the West region and will be responsible for commercial fleet sales in 12 states, the company has announced.

Ennis arrives from BMW, where she worked as a client advisor at a dealership in the Midwest. She became the first female to hold that role when she started in 2013. She was honored as Sales Leader of the Year in her first year and has held that honor each following year.

Ennis brings a passion for cars and "a special affinity for the many benefits of electric vehicles," said Martin Kiel, VW's national fleet sales manager. She reports to Kiel.

Ennis replaces Debbie Struna, who left the role in January to become national account manager for Largo, Fla.-based Fleet Street Remarketing.

Ennis will be responsible for a territory that includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
