Caryn Helmandollar, vice president of risk management for Ferguson Enterprises, Inc., was named the 2017 Fleet Executive of the Year at the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association's (AFLA) annual conference in Las Vegas on Sept. 18.

The award is sponsored by the CEI Group, with the honoree selected by a panel of judges from the fleet industry.

Helmandollar was selected from a field of three other finalists that also included Lynda Dinwiddie, associate VP of LabCorp; Mark Leuenberger, assistant VP of supply chain for Cox Enterprises; and Yogi Shivdasani, VP of logistics and procurement for LKQ Corp. She oversees the company’s fleet, insurance, claims, security, health and safety, and product integrity efforts.

Helmandollar was brought into the fleet industry in 2010 when Ferguson’s fleet function transitioned to the company's risk management group. She has been instrumental in implementing an enterprise risk management approach, by identifying and managing the inherent risks within the company’s varied businesses.

The award recognizes exceptional leadership by managers who hold the title of vice president or higher and have other responsibilities beyond fleet.
