General Motors was recognized by Corporate Responsibility Magazine for its environmental, social, and governance programs by ranking on the publications’ 100 Best Corporate Citizens list.

The automaker was the only OEM recognized for the efforts for which it received the honor, according to General Motors. GM ranked No. 21 in the annual listing.

The list documents 260 environmental, social, and governance data points in seven categories gathered from publicly available information. General Motors scored highest in its efforts to address human rights issues and climate change, the automaker said in a release.

Corporate Responsibility Magazine celebrates the most successful, most transparent companies that report on their responsible practices, said Dave Armon, publisher of CR Magazine

General Motors was also honored by RobecoSAM, Dow Jones, CDP, and other organizations for its sustainability practices.
