Truck segment vehicles performed similarly last week as they have been for the past few weeks. Nearly all truck segments saw gains to average wholesale value; only luxury segments and full-size vans experienced week-over-week decrease in value.

Vehicle values were up for both the car and truck segment last week, marking the fifth week of positive value adjustments in the wholesale market, according to Black Book's April 22 Market Insights report.

Overall car segment values were up 0.24% last week, compared to 0.29% the week before. Overall truck segment values were up 0.16% last week, compared to 0.19% the week before.

Compact and midsize cars were the best-performing segments among cars last week, values for the two were up 0.66% and 0.52%, respectively.

Subcompact cars saw the largest decline in value among all vehicles. Last week, subcompact cars saw average wholesale values fall 0.89%, compared to a growth of 0.55% the week prior.
