Comdata Corp. has launched GoComcheck.com, a comprehensive, real-time fuel price, routing, and highway amenities resource on the Internet. The site is scheduled to open January 2001. The site will be offered free indefinitely to all segments of the trucking industry. Comdata expects GoComchek to generate thousands of daily page views from merchants, drivers, fuel managers, and dispatchers. GoComchek.com will be lined in real time to the company’s network of more than 8,000 truck stops and service centers, allowing users to access the last transacted Comchek fuel purchase price at each location. The site also will calculate and display net-state fuel tax prices per gallon for each stop, a fuel management feature not previously available free of charge from any other transportation services supplier. The site also will offer search engines allowing users to find fueling locations or nearby merchants by city, state, amenity type, and facility name. Another feature of GoComchek not previously available to the industry includes entire route searches by interstate or interstate direction. As part of GoComchek.com’s launch, Comdata is presenting each of its more than 8,000 fuel-network locations with individual password-protected Web pages that can be updated as amenities and services change. Merchant pages will contain amenity listings, last reported fuel prices, a location map, interstate driving directions, and a virtual comment card that allows visitors to send feedback directly to private merchant e-mail boxes. Advertisers also can add logos and location photos, or run virtual coupon programs from their sites.
