HOUSTON – Shell Lubricants has launched the Shell Tech Tour, a multi-city, multimedia conference designed to update fleet customers on the latest lubricants and coolants technology. The tour will cover the latest on the new API motor oil category, a step change in engine oil performance that will provide improvements in wear control, high-temperature oxidation control, and soot handling. The new oils will be required for 2007-model year heavy-duty diesel engines. The audience will be comprised of fleet employees at various levels, including maintenance managers, mechanics, technicians, purchasing agents, and MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) managers. There also will be Shell distributors and sales representatives in attendance who will have the opportunity to participate in some of the presentations and interact with customers. In June, the Shell Tech Tour will visit Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Nashville. For more information on the Shell Tech Tour, e-mail [email protected].
