FRANKFURT – Bayerische Motoren Werke AG chief executive Norbert Reithofer said DaimlerChrysler AG is welcome to join an existing BMW joint venture with PSA Peugeot Citroen to develop and produce a family of small gasoline engines, according to www.CNNMoney.com.
“If Daimler is interested, the door is open. A third partner would bring more significant synergy effects,” Reithofer told the Handelsblatt newspaper.
