ACCOMAC, Va. --- At least four crashes resulted after a waste truck leaked chicken fat along 20 miles of U.S. Route 13 near the Virginia and Maryland border. Virginia State Police reported that a valve was left open on the truck while it hauled waste chicken grease from a Perdue Farms plant. The chicken grease caused what Sgt. Joe Bunting described as a "really funky" odor and covered the road with a glassy film.
