GAINESVILLE, GA – Black Book's Vice President and Managing Editor Ricky Beggs recently reported positive resale values in his "Beggs on the Market" — a weekly Monday morning video clip that typically runs about three minutes and gives a recap of the week's used-vehicle market conditions.
"There was a great mix of changes in the marketplace this [past] week, with vehicles both going up and down," reported Beggs, in the most recent video clip, Valuable Tools to Use. "The most consistent going up were trucks," with those going down consisting primarily of domestic cars, he said.
"It seems that the sales on the commercial consigned lanes have continued to hold strong percentages," Beggs said. "Those that haven't had it on strong percentage are those on dealer-consigned lanes, and in many cases, it's vehicles that are in lower condition levels or even vehicles that have higher mileage levels."
Three weeks into January, Beggs had reported strong auction activity, with full-size trucks and sport utility leading the way in this incline.
