ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - LeasePlan USA, a leader in vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions with strong ties to the Chicago community, recently was awarded the Team Impact Award from the Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago, a non-profit organization that develops, advances and promotes community volunteer initiatives.

The Team Impact Award is one of five awards honoring individuals, organizations and businesses for their impressive contributions to Chicago's northwest suburbs. The award was presented on April 12, 2010, to members of LeasePlan Cares, the company's community outreach program, during the 2010 Volunteer Impact Award ceremony.

LeasePlan won the award for its work with Shelter, Inc., a non-profit child welfare agency based in Arlington Heights. LeasePlan's influence on the community served by Shelter, Inc. made such an impression on the organization that they nominated LeasePlan for the Team Impact Award, given to a team or group who identified a need and made a demonstrated impact on the community.

Erin Tamms, volunteer coordinator for Shelter, Inc. sums it up by saying, "LeasePlan is truly an inspiration for other companies to follow. They have proven and continue to show what possibilities there are for a company's ceaseless involvement with an organization."
