HERNDON, VA - Audi of America is doing what it can to convince its German bosses to send the TT RS our way. A petition on the automaker's Facebook page says that "Audi is seriously rethinking its original plans for the range-topping TT model and wants to hear from you."

As of Monday, Sept. 13, the petition had gathered 11,522, up from only 3,742 signatures a week prior.

Currently, the TT line in the United States includes only the TT and the TTS. While the 2010 TT delivers 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, the 2010 TTS features a 265-hp, 258-lb-ft four-cylinder engine.

However, both models are outdone by the RS, which features a 340-hp, 331-lb-ft five-cylinder engine.
