HERNDON, VA – Audi was name the Highest Premium Brand in Autobytel and AutoPacific’s 2012 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVAs), sweeping the Aspirational Luxury Car category with the Audi A4, A5, and A6. Audi noted that its Q5 and Q7 also had strong showings in the IVA crossover SUV categories. The IVAs are based on a survey of more than 75,000 new car and light truck owners. They recognize vehicles where owners wanted the least amount of change across 15 key vehicle attributes.

Audi noted key features that its models provide, specifically that its A4 and A5 offer quattro all-wheel drive, and that its 2.0L TFSI engine provides 211 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. Other features Audi mentioned include the automaker’s MMI Navigation plus and Audi music interface, design refinements that give the A4 and A5 model-line “athletic elegance,” for example Audi’s xenon plus lighting with LED daytime running lights and tail lamps.

The automaker said its 2012 Audi A6 offers the all-aluminum 3.0 L TFSI supercharged V-6 engine with 310 horsepower. Audi also noted the vehicle’s safety features, including a thermal imaging camera with Night Vision Assistant, the Audi Pre-Sense Plus safety system, and that the vehicle’s safety systems make 2,000 decisions per second to assist the driver.
