LANSING, Mich. --- Michigan's U.S. senators, Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin, have challenged oil companies and gas station owners to offer E85 fuel in more than 1,200 stations in the state by 2008. Stabenow said that within the next two years, one out of every four service stations in the state needs to have a flex-fuel pump, reported the WLNS Channel 6 News. Michigan is already home to a leading biomass conversion lab. That lab, based at Michigan State, converts agricultural products into fuels.
