HERNDON, VA - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave Audi’s A4 and S4 models a five-star safety designation. NHTSA tests how vehicles perform in front and side crash tests, and evaluates vehicles for their rollover resistance, as part of its New Car Assessment Program (NCAP).

NHTSA noted that the A4 and S4 models feature a number of advanced safety systems, including available adaptive cruise control that can apply the vehicle’s brakes if it detects a potential accident, a rear-view camera with an acoustic warning system, reinforced high-strength steel and aluminum crossmembers, reinforced bumpers, and a rigid occupant cell.
