Volkswagon Group of America, Inc., is recalling approximately 3,768 2017 to 2018 Tiguan Limited vehicles because they may be equipped with the wrong airbags.
Due to begin in December, the recall covers more than 5,500 long-wheelbase vehicles in the 2018 model year.
Now a mid-size SUV, the Tiguan qualifies for the prestigious award when equipped with front crash prevention, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety announces.
